This unique film follows a real life Bambi set in the beautiful surroundings of East Africa. Viewers meet the young impala who must learn the rules and the hazards of the African bush. Throughout his adventures this African Bambi will face love, drama and adventure, seen through the eyes of the narrator – the wise giraffe.

AFRICAN BAMBI / A young Impala

Loved by his mother and protected by a thicket, Bambi grows up alongside his friend Dik-dik, a small antelope. His early years are spent frolicking in the meadows and is a time of much discovery. The young impala must understand the threats he faces living in the bush including the big cats, jackals and hyenas. As the story unfolds viewers will witness his struggle to reach maturity; from starvation, to the torment of getting a mate, his journey to adulthood is treacherous. He is torn between his desire to be with the female, and his yearning for the knowledge and freedom of the bachelor group of males. African Bambi is a story of courage, instinct, hope and even desperation.
