Alicia Florrick (Margulies) is a wife and mother whose life is turned upside down when husband Peter (Chris Noth - Sex and the City ) is involved in a very public scandal that lands him in prison. Pushing aside the betrayal and public humiliation, Alicia goes back to work as a defence attorney at a prestigious and highly competitive Chicago law firm to support her two children and, for the first time in years, Alicia trades in her identity as the "good wife" and takes charge of her own life.
