Athletics – European Championships

BBC One brings live coverage of the women's marathon at the European Championships, which are taking place in Barcelona. For the first time in the history of the Championships, the race is taking place entirely on the streets of the city, rather than starting and finishing in the stadium.

Portugal's Marisa Barros was the first European to finish at last year's World Championships, in sixth place, and she continued her good form with a personal best in Osaka earlier this year.
