2010 FIFA WORLD CUP Match Of The Day Live – Portugal v Brazil on BBC

BBC One · World Cup 2010 · 25 Jun 2010 · by: BBC

Gary Lineker presents coverage as Portugal take on Brazil in the final match of Group G in Durban.

Carlos Queiroz's Portugal side, who finished fourth at the last World Cup, boast the world's most expensive player, Cristiano Ronaldo, in a line-up laced with attacking verve. They also have two Brazilian-born players in their team, in Deco and Liedson, which gives the match an added bit of spice.

Brazil are looking to win the World Cup in yet another continent having already won it in South America, North America and Europe. Dunga's side are superbly marshalled at the back by Lucio and Juan, and although they have sacrificed some of their traditional attacking verve for a more defensive-minded system, they still boast flamboyant match winners in Kaka and Robinho.

Meanwhile, kicking off at the same time, digital viewers can opt for live coverage of North Korea against Sven-Göran Eriksson's Ivory Coast under the Red button on their remote controls. Ivory Coast will be hoping they enter this match still with something to play for after facing the might of Portugal and Brazil in their opening two games.

In only their second appearance at a World Cup finals, North Korea are unfancied to make an impact in such a strong group, but are well drilled and proved themselves difficult to break down during qualifying.

Match Of The Day Live is simulcast on the BBC HD channel – the BBC's High Definition channel, available through Freesat 108, Freeview 50, Sky 143 and Virgin 108.
