2010 FIFA WORLD CUP Match Of The Day Live – Cameroon v Netherlands

BBC One · World Cup 2010 · 24 Jun 2010 · by: BBC

Gary Lineker is in Johannesburg and introduces live coverage of the Group E encounter between the much-fancied Netherlands and Cameroon, who are one of six African sides represented at the World Cup.

Cameroon's best run in the competition came in 1990, when they reached the last eight and led 2-1 against England before Lineker scored twice from the penalty spot to deny them a place in the semi-finals. The Dutch are hoping to emulate their class of 1974, who became world champions and are still remembered for their fabulous brand of "total football".

Match Of The Day Live is simulcast on the BBC HD channel – the BBC's High Definition channel, available through Freesat 108, Freeview 50, Sky 143 and Virgin 108.

Colin Murray presents the best of the action from the final games in Groups E and F as the last 16 starts to take shape.

From Group E there's highlights of the Dutch game against Cameroon and Denmark's match with Japan. In Group F, holders Italy play Slovakia, while New Zealand take on Paraguay.

A place in the knockout stage of the World Cup awaits for two of the teams in each group, while for the other four sides it's the end of the road.
