Wimbledon 2010

BBC One · Tennis · 15 Jun 2010 · by: BBC

Sue Barker presents live coverage from the All England Club as the first balls at this year's Wimbledon are struck.

Roger Federer will be back to defend the men's singles title he regained last year, while British hopes rest with Andy Murray, who reached the semi-finals 12 months ago – his best result to date. Rafael Nadal missed the chance to defend his men's singles title in 2009 because of injury so the Spaniard will be looking to make amends this year.

As always, the weather is likely to play a part during the fortnight but the Centre Court roof, which was introduced last year, ensures that rain cannot stop play for long on the main stage at the All England Court.

At 8pm on BBC Two, John Inverdale and guests look back at the main action and major talking points of the opening day in Today At Wimbledon.

Wimbledon 2010 is simulcast on the BBC HD channel – the BBC's High Definition channel, available through Freesat 108, Freeview 50, Sky 143 and Virgin 108.
