Dianne OxberryDianne Oxberry presents the weather forecast on BBC North West Tonight as well as on the BBC local radio stations in Manchester, Lancashire and Liverpool.

Originally from Washington, Tyne and Wear, Dianne has worked across a variety of programmes in radio and TV and became the first on-screen weather presenter for BBC North West in 1995.

Her first job was working as a PA for BBC Radio 2 which led to a role in production for BBC Radio 1.

Working at Radio 1 was a childhood ambition and, as the afternoon weather presenter on the hugely popular Steve Wright show, she soon became a familiar voice to listeners.

During her time at Radio 1 she moved on to appear on the Simon Mayo show, being part of the team that won a Silver Sony Award for Best Breakfast Show.

In the early Nineties Dianne moved to TV and the north-west of England to co-present children's TV show, The 8.15 From Manchester, where she met her cameraman husband.

After the series ended she worked as a reporter at BBC GMR (now BBC Manchester). During her time at BBC GMR, North West Tonight asked her to join their team as a presenter and in 1995 she became BBC North West's first on-screen weather presenter.
