Alexa Chung and Dave Berry present highlights from this year’s iTunes Festival, which takes place throughout July at Camden’s Roundhouse. 62 artists are taking part in this incredible event, and with big names from many different genres of music, there is something for everyone to enjoy. From legends including Paul Simon and Manic Street Preachers to classic acts like Duran Duran and newer names like Rumer, the schedule is jam-packed with amazing artists. Other acts taking part in the festival include Adele, Foo Fighters, Jessie J, Coldplay, Arctic Monkeys, Gwyneth Paltrow, Bruno Mars, My Chemical Romance, The Wanted, James Morrison, Moby and Liam Gallagher’s new band
Beady Eye. This week’s shows include performances and interviews from Adele, Paul Simon and Arctic Monkeys.
Adele burst onto the music scene in 2008 when she won the first BRITs Critics’ Choice Award. Her distinctive voice and soulful music have won her fans across the world. Legendary singer-songwriter Paul Simon rose to fame as one half of
Simon & Garfunkel in the 1960s, before launching his very successful solo career. Brit rockers Arctic Monkeys have hit number one on both the singles and album charts and have garnered significant critical acclaim. They also hold the record for the fastest-selling debut album for a band in the UK.
