Leading screen and TVTV writer Peter Bowker has adapted Emily Brontë’s world-famous love story Wuthering Heights for ITV1.

Wuthering Heights

The haunting and gothic novel is a shocking and passionate portrayal of ungoverned love and cruelty across desolate landscapes and features two of literature’s most memorable lovers – Heathcliff (Tom Hardy) and Cathy (Charlotte Riley).

Acclaimed actress Sarah Lancashire takes on the role of housekeeper Nelly, while Andrew Lincoln plays Edgar, Cathy’s forlorn husband. Burn Gorman stars as Cathy’s brother Hindley, and Kevin McNally is Mr Earnshaw.

One of the UK’s most acclaimed writers, Peter has written some of the most original dramas of the past decade, including Blackpool, Flesh And Blood, Canterbury Tales and A Christmas Carol.
